1. Citadel Hill
If you’re looking for somewhere in the heart of Halifax to take in the night sky, there’s nowhere better than Citadel Hill. Once a military fort protecting the city, its hilltop location overlooking downtown Halifax provides a commanding view of the Halifax Harbour, which beautifully reflects the moon at night. Talk about a photo-op!

2. Sir Sandford Fleming Park (The Dingle)
Sir Sandford Fleming Park, just off Purcell’s Cove Road, is a great site for watching the stars.
The Dingle tower, situated prominently on a knoll looking out over the shores of the North West Arm, provides a great vantage point for amateur astronomers searching for clearer skies while staying close to the city.
