Members may publish an unlimited number of events by logging into the Membership Portal.
NON-MEMBERS
Event submissions by non-members are subject to approval by Discover Halifax. Submitted events must be relevant to visitors.
We reserve the right to edit submissions for content and to reject without notice those which do not fit our content objectives, or which we deem inappropriate. We will review content for accuracy.
NON-MEMBER EVENT SUBMISSION CRITERIA
IS DISCOVER HALIFAX THE RIGHT EVENT CALENDAR TO PROMOTE YOUR EVENT?
YES
if your event is…
- Visitor-oriented
- Leisure-focused
- A festival, cultural event, concert, etc.
NO
if your event is…
- Exclusively targeted towards a local audience
- A conference/business event
- A charity/fundraising event
BOTTOM LINE: Would a visitor plan a weekend trip to Halifax around this event?
If your event does not meet this criteria, don’t worry! Not all events are visitor-oriented, and Discover Halifax may not be the best platform to get your message out.
