The Best Corn Mazes Within a 1-Hour Drive From Halifax

Fall is a truly amazing time of year to get out and explore Halifax and beyond. It’s the season of crisp breezes and comforting, rich flavours; apple picking and pumpkin carvingThis is also the time of year that corn mazes crop up all over the province, so whether you take your family, a date, or a group of friends, a corn maze is a fantastic way to enjoy the outdoors in the fall.

Here are 3 great CORN MAZES to check out this fall, all within a 1-hour drive from the city:

1 – Noggins Corner Farm Market

9969 Evangeline Trail, Wolfville, NS

Noggins Corner could be considered a family fun super-centre in Nova Scotia – especially during the autumn months. With a corn maze, geocaching challenge, u-pick pumpkins and apples, a haunted house, wagon rides and plenty more barnyard adventures, Noggins Corner can keep everyone entertained for hours!

The corn maze itself is huge (7 acres!), so you’ll definitely have to use strategy to make your way through. There are 18 stations to find inside the maze, and when you’re finished, you’ll be spit out into the Family Fun area! The Family Fun area is equipped with tunnel slides, giant tire mountains, duck races, rope mazes, sand boxes and is the location of the Noggins Corner Farm haunted house!

Check out their website for admission prices and hours.

2 – Davison Farms Corn Maze

1112 Falmouth Dyke Rd, Falmouth NS

With admission at only $5 per person (free for children under 4), this is easily one of the more affordable mazes you can visit. The location of this maze is perfect for making a day of it, with popular attractions such as OnTree Zipline Park, The Dill Farm (home of the famous giant pumpkins), and Sainte Famille Winery, all within a 10 minute drive.

There is also the Manning Family Farm Market and Daniel’s U-Pick close-by, ideal for a quick trip to pick up some fall produce and baked goods to take home.

Find out more about admission and hours via their website.

3 – Riverbreeze Farm

660 Onslow Road, Truro, NS

With a 12-acre daytime corn maze and a nighttime FEAR FARM, this farm is quite literally transformed as the sun goes down!

At night the maze is guarded by scary clowns and chainsaw-happy murderers. Their slogan, “you’ll pay to get in but you’ll pray to get out” pretty much says it all.

With 2 haunted corn mazes and 4 haunted houses, you get a lot of scare for your buck! And I think it certainly goes without saying that this maze is not for the faint-of-heart!

Information on admission and hours can be found via their website, and directions can be found here.
