Good Robot Brewing Company
2736 Robie St, Halifax
Good Robot Brewing Company makes craft brews that are “eccentric, experimental and untrue to style.” Like many of the breweries in Halifax, they are located in the North End, and have a great outdoor space and very welcoming taproom. Stop in and enjoy a drink, a snack, and whatever awesome event is happening at Good Robot on the given day. Visitors can also take a brewery tour or purchase growlers at their retail store.
Did you know: Good Robot’s beers are vegan, and a majority of them are “gluten-reduced,” meaning many of their beers qualify as <20 ppm gluten, the international standard of gluten-free, however, they can’t call their beers gluten-free because they are made with cereal products. Learn more here.

Propeller Brewing Company

Bedford: 1225 Bedford Hwy, Bedford
Propeller is one of Halifax’s micro-brew originals, with its Gottingen Street location featuring an awesome basement arcade, making it a perfect night out with friends or date destination.
Propeller also offers a full tour of their brewery, accompanied by an explanation of their brewing process.

North Brewing Company

Dartmouth: 62 Ochterloney St
Timberlea: 501 Timberlea Village Pkwy
Focusing on Belgian-inspired beers, North Brewing Company is a microbrewery located in Cole Harbour. North Brewing also has a cold beer store on the ground floor of Battery Park Beerbar & Eatery, and a retail location in Timberlea.

Unfiltered Brewing
6041 North St, Halifax
Unfiltered Brewing, also located in the North End of Halifax, has great craft beer with some serious attitude.
Located directly next to the brewery is their pub, Charm School, where you’ll find seven or eight of their beers on tap, and locally-made snacks.

Garrison Brewing Company
1149 Marginal Rd, Halifax
Garrison is located at the Halifax Seaport, across from the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 and the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market, and is one of Halifax’s original microbreweries.
Stop by on a sunny day and enjoy a cold draught to go with some excellent people watching!
