Land Acknowledgement

Halifax is in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. Historically, a land acknowledgment is a traditional practice shared amongst Indigenous groups to recognize the Indigenous land and territory they are visiting.
