Tucked away in a quiet nook on the Dartmouth waterfront, Nature Folk is a converted historic hall turned Nordic-style spa. Here, you’ll find a modern thermal circuit of hot saunas, warm and cold plunge pools, and a treatment menu designed to help you relax and recharge, all within an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Things to See and Do

Once you step inside Nature Folk, you’ll slip into a plush robe, stow your belongings in a locker, sip warm tea, and settle into the gentle hum of the space.

From there, you can follow a natural flow through your booked treatment or thermal circuit. Before, after, or between sessions, you’re welcome to unwind in the serene communal areas.

The thermal circuit follows a rhythm of warmth, cold, and rest. Finnish saunas help relax muscles, eliminate toxins, and soothe aches and pains. The cold plunge provides a refreshing contrast that stimulates circulation and reduces inflammation. During the rest phase, you can either reset with a dip in the warm pool or exfoliate in the salt scrub room.

The spa’s private infrared saunas are a great place to unwind while experiencing the therapeutic effects of the LED lights. Bring a book or a face mask and enjoy your favourite music or podcast by connecting your device to the built-in speakers.

Explore a selection of integrative, whole-body wellness offerings, including massage therapy, therapeutic facials, acupuncture, fire cupping, and naturopathic consultations.

Workshops and yoga classes are also available.

  • If you’re heading to the thermal circuit, pack your bathing suit, sandals and a water bottle.
  • Weekend appointments fill up quickly. Book well in advance if you’re visiting on a Saturday or Sunday.
