Held every Saturday in the historic Alexander Keith’s Brewery building, the Halifax Brewery Farmers' Market is a hub for local food, handmade goods, and independent vendors.
Things to See and Do
Over 65 vendors span multiple categories, including produce from local farms, fresh flowers, cheesemakers, butchers, fishmongers, bakeries, coffee roasters, packaged and preserved foods, chocolate makers, breweries, and, of course, local artisans and crafters.
The winding space features original stone walls and archways. It’s an excellent shopping destination for gifts and groceries, and a great spot to grab coffee, breakfast, lunch, or snacks with friends. Take your time here, listen to live music, and enjoy the unique atmosphere.
Come hungry and grab a table—or a seat on the steps outside the Halifax Room—where a collection of hot and cold food vendors serve everything from sushi to perogies to bánh mì. In the summer, don’t miss the outdoor vendors on the Lower Water Street sidewalk.
