Watch a herd of bison roam freely across 50 acres of open and forested pasture at Lindsay Lake Farms in the heart of the Musquodoboit Valley, and feel time slow as the noise of the city fades away.

Things to See and Do

Upon arrival, step out and take in the beauty, the quiet, and the earthy scents of the farm. Soon enough, you’re likely to spot a chicken—they might even wander right up to you.

One thing that visitors truly appreciate at Lindsay Lake Farms is the freedom the animals have to roam, offering the chance to slow down and connect with them at your own pace.

On the bison tour, ride a bus or walk at your own pace to try to catch sight of bison lingering at the edge of the woods or lumbering across the fields. It’s basically the Canadian version of a safari. Take a seat at a picnic table to watch the bison and indulge in a curated picnic platter.

Spotting bison isn’t always guaranteed. On 50 acres of land, they occasionally disappear into the forest to roam in solitude.

Throughout the farm find a beaver dam, owls, a wild blueberry field, and other wildlife.
