Phase One – Support for affected businesses
Patrick Sullivan, Halifax Chamber of Commerce, will share his perspective on the response from government and businesses and provide an overview of the process and work from the Nova Scotia Business & Labour Economic Coalition.
Phase Two – Getting ready to return to work
Ross Jefferson, Discover Halifax, Michele Saran, Tourism Nova Scotia, and Wendy Luther, Halifax Partnership will discuss what re-opening might look like for Halifax’s tourism industry and considerations beyond the lifting of restrictions.
Phase Three – Opportunities to accelerate recovery
Consultant, Michele McKenzie, will share a brief overview of the strategic framework behind Halifax’s Integrated Tourism Master Plan and how this may guide the destination beyond the pandemic. Watch the Planifax video for a recap of how the plan was developed.
