Day One

Get to know Halifax through its signature attractions – many of which are located in the heart of the bustling historic waterfront.

The Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 is Atlantic Canada’s only national museum is the perfect spot to welcome guests to Halifax. Experiential learning through a variety of facilitated programs allows students to explore topics related to immigration, identity, history, citizenship and diversity.

Inspire curiosity at The Discovery Centre – the new waterfront location is home to four floors of incredible exhibit space including themed marquee galleries, a Travelling Exhibit Gallery, Atrium, Innovation Lab and an Immersive Dome Theatre – the first of its kind in Eastern Canada.

Immerse yourself in Nova Scotia’s rich maritime heritage at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic – you’ll discover the stories, events and people that have come to define Nova Scotia and its relationship with the sea.

This evening, explore the world’s second largest natural harbour on one of the many vessels offering Halifax Harbour Tours. You can select from a variety of harbour sailing tours, from tall ships and tugboats to an amphibious tour or a cruise on the waterfront on a paddle boat.

Day Two

Be transported back in time to the life of a Victorian-era soldier at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. Join a guided tour, watch the noon-day firing of the cannon, listen to the stirring of the bagpipes, or join a Destination Canada Signature Experience and become part of the 78th Highlanders for the day.

The fun continues into the evening with options such as indoor racing, laser tag, illuminated mini-golf, bowling or IMAX movies.

Day Three

Coastal adventures await today. Choose from a guided hike through unique coastal landscapes such as the iconic Peggy’s Cove and discover a landscape transformed by glaciers some 12,000 year ago. Or, try a sea kayaking excursion through the many inlets and coves along Nova Scotia’s Picturesque coastline.

Tonight, enjoy a traditional lobster dinner and Ceilidh before bidding farewell to Halifax.
