  • Halifax is hosting the annual East Coast Music Awards ceremony in 2018
  • Route Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, a unique 250 mile sailing race towards the French Archipelago of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon from Halifax, starting June 26, 2018
  • Doyle Street and Spring Garden Development (Completion anticipated Spring 2018)

  • The opening of the Pier 21 immigration port is celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2018
    • The opening of the site and the arrival of the first several thousand newcomers through the month of March, 1928, point to the broader context of Halifax’s Pier 21 in a changing transatlantic world.
    • Pier 21 is a National Historic Site which was the gateway to Canada for one million immigrants between 1928 and 1971. It also served as the departure point for 500,000 Canadian Military personnel during the Second World War.
  • The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo is celebrating its 40th anniversary
    • 2018 marks the 40th production of the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo. It is going to be a production unlike any other
  • The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is celebrating their 110th anniversary in 2018
  • Symphony Nova Scotia Orchestra as it’s known today, is celebrating their 35th anniversary
  • The Annual Atlantic Canada Harmonica Festival is celebrating it’s 15th anniversary in 2018

  • HalCon, Atlantic Canada’s largest sci-fi, fantasy and gaming convention will be celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2020
  • Sutton Place Hotels will be bringing its Sandman Signature brand to Dartmouth Crossing. The project is expected to start this summer with a target opening date in autumn 2020.
