Patio Lanterns Festival runs July 15 – October 11, 2021
The Patio Lanterns Festival is a Nova Scotia-wide initiative aiming to support local musicians and performers by offering funding to businesses in our province.
Businesses in Nova Scotia can also sign up to have a listing on the Patio Lanterns landing page with a Patio Lanterns “offer” such as a drink special, fun game, or summer decor.
Between these special offers and the live music, we hope to give locals and visitors a fun-filled summer with something to do every night of the week.
Live-music funding for businesses in the HRM only are available now. You can apply here.
Businesses outside HRM can find out where to apply here.
Businesses will be applying for funding within their respective region. For example, if you are a business in the Halifax Region, you will apply through Discover Halifax. If you are a business in Pictou, you will apply through Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores (DEANS).
Now! You can sign up here to have your business listed on the Patio Lanterns website.
When signing up, we encourage you to list your summer performance schedule, a fun Patio Lanterns drink special or what décor you will have.
If you are hosting live music or performances and want them added to the Patio Lanterns Festival and Discover Halifax Events Calendars, you can upload them here!
Any restaurant, bar, cafe, retailer, attraction, or other consumer-facing business in Nova Scotia are eligible to take part in the Patio Lanterns Festival. Businesses are not required to have a patio to get involved.
You do not need a patio to sign up.
