The food: This locally-minded gastropub serves upscale comfort food, using homegrown products from right here in Nova Scotia. They’re known for their delicious lobster mac n’ cheese (one of four varieties of cheesy, carby goodness) and handmade pizzas fresh from wood-stone ovens. The food: This neighbourhood restaurant is proudly located in downtown Dartmouth, about a 5-minute walk from the ferry terminal. Their seasonally inspired, locally-sourced menu is fresh and unmistakeably Nova Scotian with an emphasis on fresh seafood.

1685 Argyle Street – Downtown Halifax
The food: Dining at Lot Six is a full experience that includes not only the meal, but the creative and inspired cocktails and the stunning setting. The ingredients they use are a combination of “home staples and exotic imports”, and meals are created to satisfy and surprise diners who may be seeing an old favourite in a new light.
