|November 23-24, 2019|
Make your way to the Halifax Citadel as the historic fort takes on a festive air with Victorian carols, crafts, games and, of course, Father Christmas.
Experience the traditions of Christmas as enjoyed by Queen Victoria’s soldiers and their families at the 30th Annual Victorian Christmas event.
See how the troops celebrated the season in the barracks and in the field, meet Father Christmas, and find out what a 19th century Christmas tree looked like! Children will enjoy Victorian games and a visit to the craft room, where they can create a souvenir of their glimpse of a bygone era.
Sip hot apple cider and have your picture taken at the Parks Canada Victorian photo booth – it’s the perfect way to capture some holiday magic to share with family and friends.
