Mahalia Smith started her musical journey at the delicate age of 4 where she had her first singing memory in her home church Saint Thomas Baptist Church. At the age of 8, She then took her talents a step further by being casted in Neptune Theatre’s production of the unforgettable classic “A Christmas Carol ” where she had her first musical theatre debut. She has opened for Grammy award-winner Lisa Fischer, Anderson .Paak at the Halifax Jazz Festival and Deadmau5. Mahalia Is willing and ready to drift with her music career as she is excited to see what’s next to come, knowing that this is just the beginning.

ZamaniHer unique brand of R&B/Soul/Urban Jazz/Pop explore self-love, optimism and Black girl magic! Her galvanizing live performances in the US, Europe, and Caribbean received critical acclaim. Zamani has that rare ability to capture the light of her audiences and reflect it back to them with lyrical and compositional brilliance. Her vocal phasing, melodic improvisation and rhythmic subtlety, show her instrumental approach to the voice – making live performances an artistic soundscape. She has opened for legends Maya, Genuine & UB40; Has co-written with Grammy Award winner Gordie Sampson & Washington DC Hip Hop pioneer Tracey Lee; and is currently studying vocals under the tutelage of Grammy nominated jazz singer Jazzmeia Horn of New York. Recent awards include: Jongleur Arts Award; ANSMA Portia White Award; ANSMA 2019 Emerging Artist; ANSMA 2020 Rising Star Award; 2019 TD Jazz Festival Stingray Rising Star Award; 2019 Atlantic Film Fest Best Musical Score; 2020 SOCAN Young Canadian Songwriters Award; and the 2020 Emerging Lens Best Video Award.
