Jazz Labs are FREE and suitable for all ages, offering a behind the scenes look at making music that includes artist talks, master classes, and interactive concerts. Jazz Labs, made possible in part through the generous support of the Halifax Public Libraries, are part of Halifax Jazz Festivals Music Education Program, which includes the Creative Music Workshop. This year, CMW staff and students alike, present JazzLabs from July 13-17 at Halifax Central Library, Keshen Goodman Public Library, and Halifax North Memorial Library.
Jazz Labs are part of Halifax Jazz Festivals Music Education Program. Beyond sharing the relevance of jazz in today’s world, these Jazz Labs provide opportunities for artistic development and music education for all ages. Halifax Jazz Festivals music education mission includes Jazz Labs, the Creative Music Workshop and Splash! Bang! Boom!, Jazz Up Your Spring, and Jazz Appreciation Month shows.
