This traveling exhibit created by the Africville Museum provides visitors an opportunity to learn what it might have been like to walk down a street in Africville. The exhibit highlights the things that were important to Africville residents and allows visitors to learn more about the history of the community and the vital role it played in shaping Halifax and Nova Scotia.
The exhibit is open at the Halifax Convention Centre in Room 202 from 12:00 – 6:00 pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays, and is accessible via the Argyle Street entrance. The exhibit will be on display from August until late 2021.
The exhibit is open to the public free of charge, with donations being accepted to the Africville Heritage Trust.
