If you haven’t already heard, the East Coast Music Awards are taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia this spring!
WHEN: Wednesday, May 2 | 6:00PM – 10:00PM
WHERE: Foundation Place Lot – 1549 Lower Water Street
6:40PM – Kalolin Johnson
7:00PM – Port Cities
7:50PM – Mo Kenney
8:25PM – MAJE
9:00PM – Ashley MacIsaac
Here are 5 reasons you won’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime event:
1 – It’s FREE!
Take advantage of the opportunity to see some of Canada’s rising stars without paying a cent!
2 – LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
Halifax is one of the few cities that can host a concert this close to the waterfront!
Take advantage of the opportunity to experience a live music event surrounded by salt water, sea breeze and the unmistakable buzz on the Halifax Waterfront, rather than inside a crowded stadium!
3 – This concert isn’t JUST kicking off the ECMAs…
This is going to be the kickoff party of the entire summer season!
In addition to starting the ECMAs off with a night of free live music, this concert will launch Halifax straight into the summer events season! From the Jazz Festival to Pride to Buskers and more, make sure you’re in Halifax for these amazing events this summer.
4 – Halifax knows how to do a free concert.
If you attended the DeadMau5 Canada 150 concert on the Halifax Commons for Canada Day 2017, you’ll remember the incredible sights and sounds as the Canadian DJ performed onstage with his massive CUBE 2.1 that was called, “the most revolutionary stage design the municipality has ever seen.” Halifax Civic Events organized this free concert event for Halifax’s Canada Day celebrations on the Commons in 2017.
If the ECMA Kickoff Concert is anywhere near as well organized and executed as our Canada Day event, it’ll be a live music event that’ll go down in Halifax history!
5 – The concert is open to music lovers of all ages.
That’s right, tell all your friends who are 19 and under, this concert is open to everyone!
