Finish Dine Around 2018 strong! With special menus available at reduced prices, eateries in the Halifax region are bringing their A-game for Dine Around and we’re here to help you make the most of the last few weeks of the event!
To help you navigate the delicious $25 to $45 per-plate eats in Downtown Dartmouth, we’ve compiled five restaurants participating in Dine Around you HAVE to check out before the event ends on March 15!
1 – The Watch That Ends The Night
15 Kings Wharf Place, Unit 104 – Dartmouth
A fresh take on the port-city restaurant, The Watch That Ends The Night is the perfect combination of formal and casual dining. The immaculate cocktail bar in the centre of this intimate, 80-person locale sets a timeless vibe that makes you forget to check your watch.
Settle into one of their booths to test your taste for rum in an ode to Dartmouth’s sailor with any one of their “curious cocktails” to accompany your Dine Around experience.
2 – The Canteen
22 Portland Street – Dartmouth
This bright and colourful eatery is your friendly old neighbourhood restaurant with a modern twist. The clean, minimalist design with white walls complements their mission of crafting “honest, unpretentious food, made with love.”
For a three-course meal with vegetarian friendly options, The Canteen is a must-visit for Dine Around; they’re open Tuesday to Saturdays.
3 – Seventy3
73 Alderney Drive – Dartmouth
Each dish served out of the Seventy3 kitchen is a Canadian dish with a unique and fresh approach they call “Canadian Fusion,” inspired and influenced by Canada’s national multiculturalism.
Try their Dine Around appetizer like the Spicy Curried Nova Scotia Goat with fresh naan bread, in their classic and cozy dining area.
4 – Il Trullo
67 Kings Wharf Place, Unit 102 – Dartmouth
If you’re looking for the traditional dinner-with-a-view, Il Trullo is your go-to. Sitting on the edge of the harbour, if you try out their Dine Around menu you’ll be treated to their 180-degree-view of the harbour.
The trill of Italian music floating in the background accompany the tantalizing taste of their three-course, fixed-price menus.

5 – Trendz
15 Spectacle Lake Drive – Dartmouth
Named after what it knows best, this spacious and trendy restaurant is worth venturing a little deeper into Downtown Dartmouth than just the waterfront.
Trendz Restaurant & Wine Bar has an impressive choice of over 80 wines to enjoy over a fresh seafood entree.
