5. Check out a new restaurant
Salt + Ash, the newest addition to the Queen's Marque district, opened its doors earlier this month, offering an expansive menu of woodfired pizza, steak, seafood, shareable snacks, and nostalgic, decadent desserts. If you're looking for your next happy hour hotspot, you've found it here.

Halifax's largest vintage show is returning to Halifax this month, gathering 35 of the region’s top vintage and antiques sellers under one roof to offer the best collections of housewares, jewelry, clothing, furniture, toys and so much more. With so many eclectic treasures to sift through, it's no surprise why this pop-up market is a favourite among Haligonians.

7. Embark on an exclusive culinary journey at a pop-up dinner
Calling all foodies! Savour the flavours of Nova Scotia through an unforgettable pop-up dinner this month.
Renée Lavallée, co-owner and chef of The Canteen is teaming up with guest chef Martin Ruiz Salvador for a special 5-course tasting menu paired with local wines from Lightfoot & Wolfville. Expect flavour-packed dishes with a focus on seasonal local ingredients.
Prelude: A Pop-up Restaurant is back and has taken over a unique space at the Atlantic School of Theology overlooking the Northwest Arm. Dinners are happening every weekend this month and it's the perfect excuse to get out and try something new in a charming, exclusive atmosphere.

8. Get creative at a free art studio

The sky's the limit when it comes to getting crafty at the Lou Duggan Creative Studio. Nestled in the Halifax Central Library, this studio is equipped with a variety of state-of-the-art technology and other creative equipment, including 3D printers, cricut cutters, sewing machines, fibre art and jewelry mending supplies, and so much more. If you're interested in trying a new piece of equipment, onsite staff can guide you through the basics while providing some materials to experiment with until you're ready to start your own project.
There are tons of drop-in sessions to check out throughout the month of March, perfect for anyone age 12 and over to attend. The best part? It's all free.

9. Eat your weight in burgers during Burger Bash

Burger Bash, the famed city-wide burger-eating phenomenon returns to Halifax this month and there's no better time to indulge. With over 130 burgers of all kinds, the hardest part will be sampling every one you want to try in just 10 days.

10. Escape to the Eastern Shore
Salty ocean breezes, endless sunshine, and unspoiled views await at Lawrencetown Beach Provincial Park. Set out on a hike along the Atlantic View Trail, a breathtaking 10-kilometre coastal greenway with salt marshes, headland bluffs, beaches, and woodland. Head back to the beach for a stroll along the sand-and-cobble shore before stopping in at the MacDonald House overlooking the ocean from high above to browse local art, peruse vintage goods at Fancy Lucky Vintage, and enjoy a bite to eat at Lawrencetown Beach Café as you watch surfers ride the frigid swells below.
