1 – Celebrate 33 years of the Halifax Jazz Festival
TD Halifax Jazz Festival has been a prominent Halifax event for over three decades attracting up to 60,000 concert-goers each year to our city.
Since 1987, Halifax Jazz Festival, formerly known as the Atlantic Jazz Festival, has organized a diverse range of musical and educational activities in Nova Scotia. The TD Halifax Jazz Festival is the longest-running jazz festival AND the largest summer festival in Atlantic Canada.

2 – Support Local
Halifax Jazz Fest is the largest summer music festival in Nova Scotia with 60,000 attendees, and it wouldn’t be possible without the help of over 400 volunteers and 350 local musicians!

With a wide range of artists over six days, there truly is something for everyone, no matter your music taste – and hey, you might even discover a new favorite!

4 – Great Value
TD Halifax Jazz Festival offers a range of tickets and prices to accommodate all music lovers.
Whether you want to buy a Standard Pass ($189), which would give you access to all shows, or a single day ticket.
There are more than 60 free shows including closing night at the TD Main Stage on Sunday, July 14th featuring April Wine frontman, Myles Goodwyn & Friends of the Blues.

5 – See renowned performers from around the world that don’t always tour in Halifax
Anything is possible with the HJF Lineup. This year the lineup features multiple Grammy Award-nominated (and winning!) artists.
Past performers of the festival include; Chaka Khan, Ms. Lauryn Hill, St. Vincent, The War On Drugs and Anderson Paak.

6 – Ms. Lisa Fischer, former backup singer for The Rolling Stones, plays the Halifax Waterfront Main Stage July 13th
Former Rolling Stones backup singer, Ms. Lisa Fischer will perform with her band, Grand Baton, on Saturday, July 13th at the Waterfront Stage.
Lisa was one of the main artists featured in the 2013 Academy Award-winning documentary, 20 Feet From Stardom. The doc chronicled her career including her 26-year stint touring with The Rolling Stones and clips from her Grammy award-winning hit “How Can I Ease The Pain”.

7 – Common makes his Halifax Jazz Fest debut on the Waterfront Stage, July 9!
Academy Award, Golden Globe, Emmy and Grammy-winning artist, actor, and activist, Common will be making his Halifax Jazz Fest debut this year!
Common truly does it all, and we are lucky enough to have him grace the Halifax Waterfront on Tuesday, July 9th at 9:30 PM.

8 – Experience Jazz Fest at multiple official concert venues
Along with the TD Main Stage on the Halifax Waterfront, HJF has shows at the award-winning Carleton Music Bar & Grill, St. Paul’s Anglican Church, The Seahorse Tavern, The Marquee Ballroom and more.

With the TD main stage on the beautiful and historic Halifax Waterfront, this venue is the perfect setting to have a night out with family or friends and enjoy world-class live music.

It’s pretty easy to work up an appetite when you’re out and about enjoying the amazing music at the festival. Thankfully Jazz Fest has you covered with tons of delicious food vendors on site, so whether you’re looking for sweet treat, something to drink or a more substantial snack, there will be something for everyone!

All passes and tickets for TD Halifax Jazz Festival 2019 are available to purchase online.
DURING THE FESTIVAL
During the festival, the Box Office will relocate to the Main Stage (corner of Lower Water Street and Salter Street), 10 AM-9:45 PM daily, beginning July 9 until festival’s end.
KIOSK
Etixnow kiosks are located at the Halifax Forum (2901 Windsor St.) and Music Nova Scotia (open weekdays 9am-5pm at 2169 Gottingen St.).
They accept debit and credit cards.
AT THE DOOR
Concert’s venue address, 30 minutes before show time.
